However our product will be a lighter material similar to regular rainwear for children. Primary purpose is that children between the age of 3-6 can play, run and jump in puddles in our design without getting their feet, pants and boots soaking wet. Although our pants/boots are similar to waders in the design it is NOT intended to go fishing. Traditional waders is often made of a much heavier material (neoprene and/or pvc). It is very important to us that children, while wearing Raindear, are free to move, run, jump and play.
Raindear ApS is founded by the sisters Marian Harpøth Mønsted and Nadia Harpøth Adan, whom are also mothers to children age 2 and 4.
We saw a need on the basis of our own experience. It often rains in Denmark and while our children loves to jump in puddles (who dosen’t?), they always ended up getting their feet, pants and boots wet. We would like to change that by introducing Raindear rainwear for children who loves puddles.
